Session Details:

This session looks at children’s privacy in three geographical areas: the EU, UK, and US. We explore where each area is today with legal requirements and enforcement and what you can expect in the future. We discuss how online providers who continue to ignore children and young adult users of their online services do so with growing risk. We talk about certification programs and other ways online providers can prepare for the future. We conclude with discussing the importance of taking responsibility for promoting children and young people’s rights to participate in a safe and secure digital environment.
