Brand Discovery

After the initial kick-off call, our compliance team conducts a comprehensive audit of the online property/product, privacy policy, privacy notices and relevant section(s) in the terms of service, in addition to third party agreements with reference to data governance. We also review product development plans and your roadmap to support business objectives and find compliant solutions.

Privacy Compliance & Risk Assessment Report

A detailed Findings Report is provided including risks and potential mitigations. A second report includes tracking scans to review third party implementations and highlight any risks. The report covers the education exception under COPPA and supports the service to work with schools in compliance with FERPA.

Consultation & Brand Protection

The PRIVO compliance team meets with your team on a regular basis to consult and review changes until solutions are defined and the PRIVO Kids Privacy Certified Seal is awarded. Support for marketing and customer service teams are provided to ensure compliant policy and process is implemented for your brand.

Certification 

PRIVO’s trusted FTC-approved COPPA Safe Harbor Seal will be displayed on applicable properties. You will also receive an official certification page and be showcased in PRIVO’s Discovery Platform for families and educators helping to build trust in your brand.                                                                                                   

Ongoing Support & Guidance

On-going support and consultation are provided, in addition to regular reviews, a six month and yearly audit.

PRIVO handles inquiries from consumers, schools and regulators who have concerns about the collection, use and/or disclosure of consumer's personal information in regards to your online property/product.
