PRIVO Summit Update

Written by PRIVO | 9/21/23 3:06 AM

Due to unforeseen logistical circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to move the Children’s Digital Privacy Summit to January 24, 2024, which falls within Data Privacy Week. However, we still plan to hold a half-day free webinar on October 18th. During the webinar, PRIVO and special guests will discuss the current state of proposed and recent court rulings on children’s data privacy and safety regulations to better protect children online. Other topics will cover data ethics and the debate around age verification. To learn more about the webinar, click here.

PRIVO's in-person Summit, now on January 24th 2024, will be hosted in the iconic New Mart building in downtown LA. This one-day Summit will be particularly relevant for Toy, Gaming, Entertainment and Ed Tech companies. PRIVO and other privacy professionals and industry leaders, will guide companies and their counsel on passed state, federal and international regulations and the age verification market. Notably, these new regulations suggest increased liability for companies and their executives.

Participants will have the option to submit questions in advance. For attorneys attending, the event is eligible for CLE credits.

Topics covered:

  • Current state of privacy regulations covering children (U18).
  • New US state regulations requiring age verification and parental consent and updates around the current injunctions (e.g., California, Arkansas)
  • Privacy and safety by design principles
  • Compliant advertising and monetization strategies
  • Age assurance & verification
  • Minors' digital identity
  • Informed & delegated consent
  • Latest market research
